This entails giving an extra hand to complete duties such as cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, running errands and other services. It can include:

• Facilitating attendance for healthcare appointments and other appointments 

• Support with accessing healthcare: help you get to your dentist, GP, optician, physiotherapy etc. 

• Practical support – for example meal preparation. 

• Information and signposting – for example. about library delivery service, Dial-a-Ride 

• Psychological, emotional and personal support, taking out for a walk. 

• Increasing social engagements/contacts to enable getting back into or maintaining connection with the community, referrals to luncheon clubs, Age Concern, day centres. 

• We can also offer companionship.
